How to withdraw funds from Fountain

In order to withdraw your funds, you will need a bitcoin lightning wallet such as CashApp, Strike or ZEBEDEE to generate an invoice that you can pay from your Fountain wallet. 

Please bear in mind that network fees of up to 1% apply each time you withdraw. You can check your available balance in Fountain by navigating to your Wallet in Fountain and selecting Withdraw. If you try and withdraw more than your available balance, you will not have enough funds in your Fountain wallet to pay for the network fees.

Pay Lightning Invoice

• Using any bitcoin lightning wallet, select Receive and choose how much you want to withdraw. Make sure the amount is not more than your available balance. Copy the invoice to your clipboard.
• Open Fountain and go to your Wallet. Tap the Scan icon in the top right, or press Withdraw and choose Pay Lightning Invoice.
• Scan the QR code or paste the invoice from your clipboard and tap Allow.
• Tap the yellow button to pay the lightning invoice.

LNURL-Withdraw

Some lightning wallets support LNURL-Withdraw, which allows you to initiate a withdrawal from Fountain then paste the invoice into your bitcoin lightning wallet to complete the transaction.

• Open Fountain and go to your Wallet. Press Withdraw and choose Withdraw via LNURL.
• Choose how much you want to withdraw. Make sure the amount is not more than your available balance. Copy the invoice to your clipboard.
• Open any bitcoin lightning wallet that supports LNURL-Withdraw and scan the QR code, or paste the invoice from your clipboard to complete the transaction.
